Final General Assembly at PLOCAN and Video presentation
Nexos Project will celebrate the Final Assembly at PLOCAN installations in Gran Canaria on September 13th and 14th of 2017.
The 4 years of developments have been summarized in this comprehensive video which will presented to local authorities and stakeholders during the event.
With ocean sustainability an ever-growing concern, Nexos created the next-generation, web-enabled sensors that make monitoring and measuring the oceans more precise and effective. NeXOS Project developed cost-effective, innovative, compact, integrated, multifunctional sensor systems (ocean optics, ocean passive acoustics, and sensors for an Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries), which can be deployed from mobile and fixed ocean observing platforms. The project also developed transversal innovations such as downstream services for the Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS), Good Environmental Status (GES) of European marine waters (Marine Framework Strategy Directive) and the European Common Fisheries Policy (CFP).
